Introducing... TEAS!

I'm particularly chuffed to take this next step on my herbal journey.

Of course, brewing herbal teas isn't anything new. I've been growing, harvesting, and steeping for medicines and pleasure for nearly 50 years. It's a natural step; I mean, you could in theory drink my incense herbs, as they are all organically grown and food-grade quality! I have lost count of the number of times people asked me if I was selling tea. Well, now I am!

I have named the teas after some of my favorite music, songs I think reflect the brews beautifully. You weren't really expecting anything any different, were you?!

Please keep in mind this is a fledgling journey. I will have samplers put together and decorative jars ready to ship sometime next month. In the meantime, I hope the list below piques your curiosity! Please drop me a line through Facebook Messenger if you have any questions. I'll always reply—eventually!

Summer 2022 Tea Menu

BLOSSOM (James Taylor)

This tea is caffeine free and blooming with goodness! There’s a virtual bouquet in here, and a light green scent, bringing to mind a summer meadow.

Ingredients: red clover, nettle leaf, ginkgo leaf, calendula, skullcap, lavender, and chamomile.
All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced.

Not advisable for persons with allergies to any ingredients, or those who have blood disorders.

MORNING HAS BROKEN (Cat Stevens)

This tea is caffeine free and its strength lies in its gentleness. It is just the right balance of energy and stillness, making it a wonderful brew for mustering yourself in the morning, or as a pick-me-up in the afternoon.

Ingredients: nettle leaf, green rooibos, and rose petals.
All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced.

DREAM ON (Aerosmith)

This tea is based on an old herbal formula to help you remember your dreams. It’s caffeine free with a floral scent and a minty flavor. This one is particularly nice iced, served with a sprig of fresh melissa.

Ingredients: peppermint, chamomile, skullcap, mugwort, damiana, rosemary, and rose petals.
All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced.

Not advisable for pregnant mums or for persons with allergies to plants in the aster family.

ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS (Eagles)

This is the perfect tea to come home to! It’s caffeine free with vibrant notes of berry and citrus that cultivate that ‘peaceful easy’ feeling.

Ingredients: lemon balm, hibiscus, skullcap, passionflower, hops, valerian root, lavender.
All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced.

Because hibiscus is often grown with peanuts, those with severe nut allergies might want to give this one a miss. Not to be used with sedative pharmaceuticals.

HEART OF GOLD (Neil Young)

This tea is soothing and warm, like a hay field ready for harvest. It’s caffeine free, mild yet spicy.

Ingredients: hawthorn leaf and flower, lemon balm, rosehips, dandelion leaf, ginkgo, oatstraw, bilberry fruit, hawthorn berry, ginger, lemon peel, motherwort.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced.

Not advisable for pregnant mums, those with blood clotting disorders, or those allergic to tree nuts.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE (The Beatles)

The cacao might give this tea a hint of caffeine. They certainly give it a robust undertone, yet the flavor is light and perky..

Ingredients: damiana leaf, cacao nibs, carob, orange peel, rose petals, cinnamon chips, vanilla flavoring.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced. Not advisable for pregnant mums, children, or those who are adversely affected by caffeine.

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE (John Lennon)

It’s hard to be unhappy when you’re spreading peace and compassion! This caffeine free tea is a bouquet of floral mnitiness, with just a kiss of spices. It’s a wonderful companion when contemplating the good that the day has to offer.

Ingredients: chamomile flowers, spearmint, lavender, cinnamon bark, passionflower, rose petals.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced. Not advisable for pregnant mums or for those allergic to plants in the aster family.

TUBTHUMPING (Chumbawamba)

This tea is a faithful confidante when you get knocked down but you get up again. It’s caffeine free, and its robust flavor and spicy aroma remind you that you’re not alone; the person in the mirror is always going to be there for you and they will never ever let you down. If you find yourself going through life changes thick and fast, slow down with a bit of Tubthumping.

Ingredients: burdock root, dandelion root, grape root, eleuthero root, yellow dock root, milk thistle seed, marshmallow root.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced. Not recommended for pregnant mums, or those who have allergies to plants in the aster family.

I GUESS THAT’S WHY THEY CALL IT THE BLUES (Elton John)

You don’t need to be singing the blues to enjoy a cup of this robust yet soothing tea! It’s caffeine free, with a strong minty scent and a smooth green taste.

Ingredients: nettle leaf, St John’s wort, spearmint, damiana leaf, valerian root.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced. Caution is advised for those who are sensitive to St John’s wort or who sunburn easily. Check for prescription contraindications before imbibing, as valerian is a known herbal calmative.

I AM WOMAN (Helen Reddy)

This tea celebrates the sage woman in all of us, regardless of our gender at birth. Compassion, understanding, nurturing, and a can of whoopass in one of our beloved pockets, THAT’S what makes us women! It’s a minty tea that starts out feisty then finishes on a gentle herbal note. Hmm; feisty and gentle; sound like anyone you may know?

Ingredients: motherwort, nettle, sage, lemon balm, vitex berries, mugwort, horsetail.

All ingredients are organically grown and sustainably sourced. Not recommended for pregnant mums, for those taking HRT or birth control pills, nor for those with kidney disease.
