And now once again for your cerebral pleasure, here are the Monday Musings! This week's deck may seem familiar to you for those of you who were at Karmakon this weekend or who have had in-person readings from me in the past, for it is my go-to deck, the Tarot of the Cloisters by Michelle Leavitt. I've been using this deck for over 15 years. I'm enthralled by the stained glass colors (and after the heartache in Paris last week, they seem doubly appropriate) .
It took me a while to get used to using a round deck, but now that I am, I have to say that they are my favorite. Every card has 360° of interpretation—as opposed to upside down or right way up of the more traditional rectangular shapes. For me, this adds another dimension to the reading, one with which I resonate deeply. It's probably got something to do with all those years studying round astrology maps, or celebrating in sacred circles! But I digress...
Monthly forecast? Weekly forecast? Daily forecast? It's up to you, you know the drill! Pick the one that calls to you for a mini-reading for the week ahead, or read them all as a story-telling spread. Your reading, Your call. I'm just the messenger.. I'm still offering private readings, too, so if you want to know a little more about what the universe has in store for you, hit me up. "I'm here to help."

Left: The Hanged Man (inverted)
If this is your card for the week, it's a sure sign that you have let things get on top of you. You're feeling angry, frustrated, hurt, and you can't seem to see the wood for the trees. Everything feels upside down at the moment. You know you should be doing something, but you'e hanged if you can see what that something is! You may even be spinning your wheels, focusing on everything but what you need to focus on. You're allowing other people or other circumstances to steal your thunder, and it's time to stop. This is a sign to slow down to the speed of life and find your feet again. It's not as bad as it seems, you're just not in the best place to see all your options. If you're hesitating to do something, thinking that you're not ready yet or that another time might be better, then the inverted Hanged Man is asking you to look at that, too. There's no such thing as 'perfect timing.' Pause to find your new mindset, and then get out there and shine like the diamond you were born to be.
Middle: Ten of Pentacles (3 o'clock)
The Ten of Pentacles is a card about completion. If you look at the way it's laying, you'll see that it's only a quarter turn in on its circular journey. If this is the card you chose, it means that you've got success coming, but there's still some work to do and a potential storm to navigate before you reap the rewards. It's asking you to pause and think; do you really want what you are pursuing? Is the reward worth the additional responsibility? Had you even thought about that side of things? This card is asking you to take a good hard look at your long-term goals. It's not too late to change things before they get on top of you. Sometimes less is more. This is also a reminder that your self-worth isn't measured by what you have; authentic empowerment comes from being who you are, being genuine and true to yourself, and if you are happy with that little cabin in the woods, don't let the marketing spin doctors convince you that you need the lakeside mansion. It's not a race, it's a journey. Stay in your own lane, and you will succeed.
Right: The Tower (9 o'clock)
The Tower is always a card of change. I'm a big believer in choosing to change, rather than having change thrust upon me, and if the Tower is your card this week, it's all change, baby, yeah. The good news is the worst of the storm is behind you, for the card is well on its way to being upright again. Never forget that the same lightning bolt that ignited the fire is the flame of purification and the light of clarity. The structure may blaze, but it is on solid rock, it can be rebuilt, stronger and better. Let what no longer supports you self-destruct, for in doing so it makes room for new and better things. You are evolving, burning away the past, and building a new future. Even though some of what is lost in the fire may be painful, it is a necessary step in your soul's evolution. This is a life-changing event, and it does not have to be the fire of destruction. Face it, claim it, and allow it to be the blaze of awakening and transformation.

And now once again for your cerebral pleasure, here are the Monday Musings! This week's deck is a quirky little oracle, loosely based on the tarot, called The Jesus Deck by Rev Ralph M Moore. I figured it was Easter week, so why not? I love the 70s' style artwork, and the way that the 'suits' tell the stories of the four gospels. There's just something very captivating about the way that this deck is put together. It goes up to gimmicky, but never quite crosses the line. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do.

Left: 8 of Mark, The Trial
This card pretty much says it all, and if you've chosen this card, then be prepared for some trials this week. Pay particular attention to your own business. Stay in your own lane, true to your own tenets and beliefs Don't let gossip or other people's issues distract you from your own goals, and what you know in your heart is right for you. Keep your eyes on the big yellow sun in the distance and pay no attention to the robed figures around the table, for they're going to form their own opinions, regardless of your persuasion. No matter how perfect the rose, there are still going to be those who don't like flowers. They're not your people, so shake it off and move along.
Middle: 3 of John, The Preparation
Have you been feeling a bit listless lately, patiently waiting for something to change yet nothing seems to be happening? If this is the card you chose, it is the universe—or God or the ascended masters or however you perceive your divinity—reminding you that very often there are things happening behind the scenes. You may be unaware of them, but they're happening all the same. The green in the background promises productivity and the sky is clear with the moon and stars lighting your way. Trust the process. It's all part of the cycle.
Right: 10 of John, Peter
If you've chosen this card, then take it as a sign that something you've been seeking or something you've been hoping to hear is about to come your way The news is usually good, but even if the outcome isn't exactly what you wanted to hear, you will be able to get closure and move on into the next stage of your awareness. If you have been contemplating committing yourself to a new project or stepping up your game in some way, this card is an affirmation that the time is now, and the place is here. Step out of your comfort zone, and see what happens next. You may be surprised at your capabilities.

And now once again for your cerebral pleasure, here are the Monday Musings! This week's deck is another oracle, as opposed to the tarot; The Cards of Winds and Changes by Judith Pintar. It also was one of the very first oracles I purchased way back in the day, and I still deeply resonate with it.

Monthly forecast? Weekly forecast? Daily forecast? It's up to you, you know the drill! Left: All That Is
If this is the card that you chose, it is reminding you that the sum of the parts is greater than the individual pieces. It's reminding you that you are part of a bigger design, that you and your situations and the people in your life are all part of a grand scheme. It's time to rise above yourself and see how you are meshing with everything else that's going on around you. Like it or not, you're interdependent on them, in some way or another. Perhaps they are there to support you, or maybe it's your turn to lend a hand. Maybe they're there to challenge you, to encourage you to break free from a toxic situation or leave a relationship that is no longer viable, so that you can continue your soul's evolution. The lesson this card brings is that no matter what you do, it is going to have a ripple effect on the people in your life. Keep your thoughts optimistic and your words empowered. Sow good seeds where possible—and if you look hard enough, you'll find it is always possible.
Middle: Gaia, Great Spirit
The image on this design is a mathematical symbol called 'the golden rectangle.' This is a symbol of wheels within wheels, and it can be found in many places in nature, such as nautilus shells, the arrangement of leaves or petals, or even the flight patterns of some insects. If this is your card for the week, it's a message to look deeper and to see what's underneath the surface. Solutions may be hard to find, but they're there, and as soon as you start searching for their sequences in places that you wouldn't expect to see them, they'll appear. This too is a card of discovery, learning, and growth, of mysteries and magic and soul-growing lessons. It's asking you to keep looking. The answers lie in the same bed as the problems.
Right, Gaia, South
If you chose this as your card for the week, expect hard work, but work that brings high rewards. It's appropriate that this is a card of springtime, and a card of abundance and joy. It's message is love and you will be loved; it's as simple as that. In today's world it's easy overlook the good things in your life, for the spin doctors in the marketing companies don't get rich if you're happy and contented. Be a rebel. Flip them the bird and create your happiness from your own soul. How? This card's message is count your blessings, rejoice in what you have, and share it all with wild abandon. Hard work with love is the path you walk. Abundance and joy is the harvest you will reap. Now get out there and shine on, you crazy diamond!

Ain't no fools here! It's a new day, it's a new week, it's a new month, and the cosmic energies have shifted from the needy and sensitive global 6 of last month to the enigmatic and philosophical vibes of the 7. This may well be one of the most karmic dates of the year; how are you going to use it?
I'm using it to bring you the monthly musings! This week's deck is an oracle, as opposed to the tarot; The Phoenix Cards by Susan Sheppard. It was one of the very first oracles I purchased way back in the day, and I've since had two more, for every time I let it go to someone else, the universe finds a way to put a set back in my possession! These guys are stuck with me, now. It's a peculiar deck, but one that has some insights to share all the same. Of course, I'm breaking all the rules of how to use them in this three card reading today, but rules are only guidelines anyway, right? It's not like I'm breaking some great cosmic law!
Monthly forecast? Weekly forecast? Daily forecast? It's up to you, you know the drill! Pick the one that calls to you for a mini-reading for the week ahead, or read them all as a story-telling spread. Your reading, Your call. Left: Greek Painting
This card depicts a scene painted by Douris from Greek mythology about Jason and the snake.  If you chose this card for the first week in April, it's an indication that you need to apply your usually sharp intellect to the situations that arise. There's a message here that you can have a discussion without having a debate and you can have a debate without having an argument. Know when to stand and fight, or just walk away. Not every battle is a hill worth dying on. It's a time to lift your mind up to the higher vibration that will permeate the rest of the month. Learn something new, start something different, stretch yourself in some way. Expect a higher state of awareness, and explore it to see where it leads.
Middle: Aboriginal Bark Painting
This is a painting from Oenpelli in Australia. It depicts the Dream Time, the place of all beginnings. If this is your card for the week, then you're being told to go back to your roots. Go back to what worked, before you tried to make it 'new and improved.' Remember, modern society doesn't want you to be happy, for that doesn't feed the money machine. They want you to be dissatisfied with your life in some way so that you spend your cash on their panaceas for whatever ails you. That's not true empowerment; creating happiness in your own soul is where your power comes from. This card is asking you to look and really see the truth around you, for it is there, and when you see it, you'll realize that life is a lot more simple than you've been taught to believe.
Right: Renaissance Angel
This is a painting from Raphael entitled 'The Delivery of St Peter.' If you picked this card, then the message for you for the first week in April is to be versatile, malleable, and see where the wind blows. You may feel like you're alone, left out in the cold, but something is about to happen to change all of that. Dig deep into your personal philosophies, into the mystery schools that have served you—or maybe it is time to ditch those old ideas and embrace a new tenet; after all, April's vibration is that of the high and lofty 7, which often brings you to questioning the status quo and exploring what else is out there. Your creativity is high this week, so be careful what you start; you may find that you're easily able to begin new projects, but that you fail to follow through, and if you're going to rescue yourself from the banality of life, you're going to have to apply some determination and fortitude.
