And now once again for your cerebral pleasure, here are the Monday Musings! This week's deck may seem familiar to you for those of you who were at Karmakon this weekend or who have had in-person readings from me in the past, for it is my go-to deck, the Tarot of the Cloisters by Michelle Leavitt. I've been using this deck for over 15 years. I'm enthralled by the stained glass colors (and after the heartache in Paris last week, they seem doubly appropriate) .
It took me a while to get used to using a round deck, but now that I am, I have to say that they are my favorite. Every card has 360° of interpretation—as opposed to upside down or right way up of the more traditional rectangular shapes. For me, this adds another dimension to the reading, one with which I resonate deeply. It's probably got something to do with all those years studying round astrology maps, or celebrating in sacred circles! But I digress...
Monthly forecast? Weekly forecast? Daily forecast? It's up to you, you know the drill! Pick the one that calls to you for a mini-reading for the week ahead, or read them all as a story-telling spread. Your reading, Your call. I'm just the messenger.. I'm still offering private readings, too, so if you want to know a little more about what the universe has in store for you, hit me up. "I'm here to help."

Left: The Hanged Man (inverted)
If this is your card for the week, it's a sure sign that you have let things get on top of you. You're feeling angry, frustrated, hurt, and you can't seem to see the wood for the trees. Everything feels upside down at the moment. You know you should be doing something, but you'e hanged if you can see what that something is! You may even be spinning your wheels, focusing on everything but what you need to focus on. You're allowing other people or other circumstances to steal your thunder, and it's time to stop. This is a sign to slow down to the speed of life and find your feet again. It's not as bad as it seems, you're just not in the best place to see all your options. If you're hesitating to do something, thinking that you're not ready yet or that another time might be better, then the inverted Hanged Man is asking you to look at that, too. There's no such thing as 'perfect timing.' Pause to find your new mindset, and then get out there and shine like the diamond you were born to be.
Middle: Ten of Pentacles (3 o'clock)
The Ten of Pentacles is a card about completion. If you look at the way it's laying, you'll see that it's only a quarter turn in on its circular journey. If this is the card you chose, it means that you've got success coming, but there's still some work to do and a potential storm to navigate before you reap the rewards. It's asking you to pause and think; do you really want what you are pursuing? Is the reward worth the additional responsibility? Had you even thought about that side of things? This card is asking you to take a good hard look at your long-term goals. It's not too late to change things before they get on top of you. Sometimes less is more. This is also a reminder that your self-worth isn't measured by what you have; authentic empowerment comes from being who you are, being genuine and true to yourself, and if you are happy with that little cabin in the woods, don't let the marketing spin doctors convince you that you need the lakeside mansion. It's not a race, it's a journey. Stay in your own lane, and you will succeed.
Right: The Tower (9 o'clock)
The Tower is always a card of change. I'm a big believer in choosing to change, rather than having change thrust upon me, and if the Tower is your card this week, it's all change, baby, yeah. The good news is the worst of the storm is behind you, for the card is well on its way to being upright again. Never forget that the same lightning bolt that ignited the fire is the flame of purification and the light of clarity. The structure may blaze, but it is on solid rock, it can be rebuilt, stronger and better. Let what no longer supports you self-destruct, for in doing so it makes room for new and better things. You are evolving, burning away the past, and building a new future. Even though some of what is lost in the fire may be painful, it is a necessary step in your soul's evolution. This is a life-changing event, and it does not have to be the fire of destruction. Face it, claim it, and allow it to be the blaze of awakening and transformation.
